Here's some questions I've been getting, and answers for them. Feel free to reply and ask more questions!
Can I get a discounted trial?
You can download PostalPoint without any billing details and test it out, but if you want to print real labels, then no, there is no discount. However, if your shipping activity in PostalPoint makes you under $1000 profit in a calendar month, you are automatically given a discount based on your actual usage. This means that if you make $100 profit in a month, your bill is just $10, and if you make no profit from shipping with PostalPoint, you don't get billed at all!
Does PostalPoint work with FASC and ASO accounts?
Yes, just add them to your EasyPost account after deleting the built-in UPS and FedEx accounts provided by EasyPost.
How do I set up Endicia?
You don't. PostalPoint uses their competitor EasyPost, which is better in a lot of ways, such as supporting around 100 carriers, meaning PostalPoint also supports those carriers.
Can I download just the kiosk program for a lower fee?
No, we made the decision to make them one program. There are a lot of technical reasons why. As for a discounted fee, if, for example, you only use PostalPoint as a kiosk for prepaid drop-offs, you might not make enough money with it to pay the full monthly fee.
Do I need to buy new hardware (printer, barcode scanner, computer, etc) if I switch to PostalPoint?
Probably not. PostalPoint supports a wider range of hardware than PostalMate, so your existing equipment is likely to work just fine.
My barcode scanner doesn't work unless I click in the manual entry box
Check your scanner's manual for instructions on setting it to USB HID POS mode, or something similar. You'll probably need to scan a special barcode in the manual to do this.
What credit card processors/terminals do you support?
Officially, Stripe. There's also a plugin for Square. If you want a card processor added to PostalPoint, a plugin is the way to do it. Any software developer with JavaScript experience should have an easy time making one; the Square plugin took less than a day to write. If there's high demand for a particular payment processor, we might make an official plugin for it.
Does my business need errors and omissions or other insurance coverage to use PostalPoint?
No. It's none of our business. Other companies or franchises you work with might need it though.
